Company Overview
Q When was the company established?
On November 1, 1948, Kataoka Electric Co., Ltd. was founded in Yukigaya-Otsuka in Ota-ku, Tokyo. It is the forerunner of Alps Alpine. At the time of its foundation, it had 23 staff members. Its first product was a rotary switch for radios. It was given the brand name Alps to reflect its aspiration to be on top of the world.
