Alps Alpine Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 6770; President & CEO: Toshihiro Kuriyama) has been presented a 2020 Supplier of the Year Award by Stellantis in their first ever Supplier Awards.

The award recognizes the level of quality, commitment and operational excellence delivered by Stellantis suppliers. Twelve suppliers were honored in eight different categories for outstanding performance in 2020, a particularly difficult year for the automotive industry.

Alps Alpine received the Supplier Award for our “excellent delivery performance, continuous control of production tool capacity, and execution of the manufacturing and delivery programs”. Maxime Picat, Chief Enlarged Europe Officer, Stellantis, commented on our contribution saying, “Alps Alpine has demonstrated best in class mitigation in response to a fire at a Tier 2 supplier and has helped us to mitigate and avoid risk across twenty different vehicle programs linked to that fire, and demonstrated every day their support to Stellantis in the fight to mitigate the electronic components crisis.”

A virtual award ceremony was held on June 2nd and attended by Robert Hill, President, Alps Alpine North America. “While the difficult situation caused by COVID-19 continues, we are humbly grateful for this recognition and will continue to put every effort into providing a seamless supply experience to all our customers worldwide”, president Hill comments.
