Alps Electric Automotive Technology Wins Innovation Award for the First Time
Alps Electric Co., Ltd. (TOKYO: 6770; President: Toshihiro Kuriyama; Head Office: Tokyo) has received an Innovation Award from General Motors Company (GM).
Alps Electric has received an Innovation Award at GM’s 26th Supplier of the Year awards ceremony. The accolade recognizes the company’s Ultra Short Range Radar Technology for use in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles.
The Innovation Award was set up in 2015. This year it was presented to four GM suppliers from around the world with Alps Electric among those selected. Alps Electric has previously won the GM Supplier of the Year award.
Alps Electric will continue directing efforts into development for CASE domains, namely connected cars, autonomous driving, sharing and electric vehicles.
